Scary Pie

Scary Pie

Hard to go wrong with a pie-throwing contest. What an expression. As the wall behind her portrays the peril of previous pies, Dodge Elementary counselor Henri Glatter screams as yet another pie is thrown at her at the pie throwing station during the school’s field day on Thursday. As school winds to a close, the field day provided students an opportunity to play outside on a beautiful day while competing in various races and at 21 skill stations.

She’s a brave woman! This game used to be my job at county fairs, carnivals and fundraisers all over the Northeast and I can tell you that while it’s great fun if you’re in the right mood, it can also be grueling and somewhat disgusting depending on the setup….but if you think pies in the face are crazy…try rotten tomatoes! They used to have me target those at medieval and pirate festivals…it was great money but truly punishing and gross…I recommend pies or wet sponges for beginners….way-to-go Henri, you’re my kind of gal.
