Just something I saw while on assignment a while back. I don’t know what it means. And no, I didn’t put the glasses there.

Went to this house fire during below 0 wind chill conditions. Lots of smoke, but no visible flames. Saw this oxygen mask hanging on a statue in the front yard of the house and moved in quickly to get a shot before the fireman came back. I like the off-beat feel of the photo. It’s great that the paper ran the photo as lead art on the front page as a news photo, even though it’s a bit arty.
