The Independent Blog

The Independent has been very lucky to have award-winning, fantastic photographers on our staff. They are Barrett Stinson, Scott Kingsley and Lane Hickenbottom. Now, two of our photogs, Barrett and Scott*, have started a blog that will highlight their work. Extra photos taken while out on assignment will be included as well as anything these creative individuals want to share. So bookmark their blog, The Things We’ve Seen, and enjoy it often

*Unfortunately for us, Lane is leaving the Independent in March.

We are also interested in YOUR blogs. If you are a local blogger who would like to be included in our community blogging section (we can throw a little web traffic your way) please send me an email with a link to your blog and what it’s about.  We are mostly looking for “theme” blogs rather than a personal blog - that is, we would like your blog to have a specific topic that you write about such as car restoration, gaming, quilting, scrapbooking, politics, etc. If we get enough, we’ll hook ‘em up at grandislandblogs.com, and on theindependent.com.
