I know I’ve mentioned before that The Independent is online with Twitter and you can see our updates in the Twitter box to the right and down a bit. And I’ve discussed what Twitter is in a previous post. But did you know you can use Twitter to get Independent updates on your cell phone?
I’ve been posting our daily updates that we do on our websites to Twitter and sometimes I’ll post some headlines that may be of interest or may be coming out in the next day’s paper. We’re starting to pick up followers, which is very cool.
To start following us on Twitter (and maybe begin Twittering all on your own!) you just need to go here and create your account. Then, to follow The Independent and get our updates via text message, just visit our Twitter page and click the ‘Follow’ button. That’s it 
Twitter has a very good FAQ to help you if you get stuck. So give it a go - it’s a lot of fun!
