Fridays are usually pretty hectic around the newsroom, especially in the Fall. There’s Husker coverage to prepare for, high school football, and this weekend we have a lot of local teams in the State Volleyball tournament in Lincoln.
You can watch the front page of the Independent for score updates and as mentioned in a previous post, we have two videographers there getting great footage from as many games as we can.
And you can’t forget the Huskers. Tomorrow they take on Kansas State where they hope to break their five game losing streak and get out of this depressing slump. Check out our very own Louie Longshot’s game prediction and then head over to HuskersHQ Overtime to see Terry Douglass and Adam Maser preview Saturday’s game.
Finally, coming soon, we have a new blogger to add to the Independent Blogger network. Copy Editor Corbin Crable will begin writing a movie blog called ‘Cinemuck’ for us that should be highly entertaining. Corbin keeps us all laughing every day so we’re looking forward to reading what he has to say about the movies. More to come!
